Raymond X. McCoy, age 80, of Paterson died Sunday, September 11, 2016 at home in Paterson. Raymond was born June 25, 1936 in Paterson, NJ. He is the son of the late H. Raymond and the late Anna (Sisco) McCoy. Raymond lived in Pequannock, NJ and Manasquan, NJ before moving back to Paterson. He served in the United States Army. He was a former parishioner of St. James R.C. Church in Totowa, NJ, St. Denis R.C. Church in Manasquan and St. Brendan's R.C. Church in Clifton, NJ and was the former president of the Pequannock Board of Education for 8 years. He was a Funeral Director for 37 years and after he retired he became the co-owner of Metro Candy Apple in Clifton, NJ for 15 years and sold the business in 2014. Beloved husband of the late Janice McCoy (nee Martello). Devoted father of Martin of Paterson, Gregory of Cold Spring, NY, Michael of Warwick, NY, James of Ventura, CA and Thomas of Manasquan, NJ. Dear brother of Joseph McCoy, Mary Ann McCoy and the late Jane Roemer. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren. Funeral from DeLuccia - Lozito Funeral Home, 265 Belmont Avenue, Haledon, NJ on Thursday at 8:30 AM. Funeral Liturgy at St. Gerard's R.C. Church, 501 West Broadway, Paterson at 9:30 AM. Interment, Brigadier General William C. Doyle Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ. Visiting on Wednesday from 4-8 PM. .
