Obituary of James "Jimmy" Gallo
James “Jimmy” Robert Gallo, 75, of Haledon, NJ, passed away, Sunday, December 3, 2017 surrounded by family. He was born December 25, 1941 to Elmer and Josephine Gallo (Rostello) in Paterson, NJ. On September 5, 1964 he married Nancy Mullen in Brooklyn, NY.
Jimmy is survived by his wife Nancy, son James "Jimmy" Gallo Jr.,daughters Jodi Gallo and Jill Murray, brother Jerry Gallo, sister Judy Gerardo, five beautiful granddaughters, daughter-in-law Kelly, son-in-law Brandon, and many wonderful nieces and nephews.
Jimmy proudly served in the United States Navy as a petty officer before embarking on a 40+ year career with the Lembo family in the machinery industry.
He loved the Dallas Cowboys, the Atlanta Braves, golf, spending time at the casino, and most of all, a good joke.
Jimmy was an extraordinary father, devoted husband, doting grandfather, adoring brother, fun-loving uncle, loyal employee, and a friend to all. His laugh will be sorely missed.
A Memorial Gathering will be held at DeLuccia-Lozito Funeral Home from 9:00 until 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 20 immediately followed by a Memorial Mass at St. Paul’s R.C.Church, Prospect Park, NJ. at 11:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Wounded Warrior Project in Jimmy’s name.
