To the Azzolina family. The passing of Joey is a reminder to all of us of how fragile life really is. In the end we are judged not by how much money or worldly possessions we have obtained but by how were lived our lives. Joey is surely in Heaven. He was a 'Gentle" man. I never heard Joey say a bad word about anyone. He always gave us a very cheerful hello regardless of how he felt. He didn't enjoy good health but you would never know it. He wasn't one to complain. He had his dad's sence of humor and his mother's compassion. He liked as good joke as did his dad Sal. He was a kind soul willing to help others and he helped soo many. Joe was also a very fortunate man to have the love of his family. His sisters and brother, brother in laws, nieces and nephews loved him as an brother, uncle and friend. We all loved seeing Joey. Joe was also a very smart man. Much smarter then most. He was a humble man. God bless you Joe and Rest in Peace

Uncle Joe,
My heart is heavy and saddened by your sudden passing. You never missed a beat and blessed us with your presence at any get together big or small. You were a small guy with a big heart and gentle soul; always willing to lend a helping hand. Although you have left many of your loved ones behind I know that you were met at the gates of heaven by others who loved you just as much. Thanks for all the wonderful family memories and for spending so much time with Gianna and Craig allowing them to have special memories of you at such a young age. Your presence will be missed by many. My brother was right you were a "special character." Please give him a hug and kiss for me. Rest in Eternal Peace Uncle Joe.
Love, Danelle

To my Uncle Joe,
My father adored you as much as any, and your sisters fulfilled Sal's wish to make sure your ship sailed smoothly as best they could, and for as long as they could. They should be blessed, but only after you're blessed as the kindest soul I've ever met.
We all get dealt hands in life, and I'm not sure God gave you the best of cards- but you played them as well you could, and in the end didn't play them at all. You won the game!
May the four winds blow you home to a peaceful end with Marty and Craig.
Love til we meet again,
Darren, Victoria, Veronica, Diana, and Jessica Jachts

Joe was a dear person and a faithful friend of my dad's who became, through their friendship, an informally adopted member of our family. Even after Dad moved up to Connecticut to live closer to my sister, Joe continued visiting every couple of weeks. Although a shy and retiring person, Joe mustered his courage and stood up at Dad's memorial service and spoke to the assembled group. Joe and I talked on the phone now and then after Dad's death a couple of years ago, and he was always very caring and concerned about things going on in my life, and obviously very committed to his faith and to helping people. In fact, from all appearances, people that he cared about were Joe's world. I'm very sad to hear of his passing, and offer my condolences to his family and friends and fellow parishioners at this difficult time. May your memories sustain you in your grief.

Do not let your hearts be troubled. You have faith in God; have faith also in me. In my Father's house there are many dwelling places. If there were not, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? -John 14:1-2

Ann, Kathy, Craig, Dennis & Susan,
All of you and your family are in our hearts and prayers at this time of sadness and loss. Joey was such a kind, thoughtful and caring man. May he rest in peace in the glory of heaven.
We will always remember how happy my Mom was when Joey visited and even danced with her at the nursing home. It was so kind and loving of him to spend time with her on a frequent basis.
May the memories of all the wonderful times you spent with him be a source of comfort to all of you.
With love, prayers and our deepest sympathy,
Irene and Jim
