So sorry to hear about Comare Anna. Our families go way back and I remember what a warm, sweet kind person Anna was. I remember all the stories my Mom told me about Dominick and Anna when they came here from Italy, I am sorry I cannot be there with you and offer my sympathies to you and your family, We have been having health issues and could not be there with you, Please know that I am thinking of you and that your Mom was a special person to us even though we had lost touch through the years.

Mama Galante will always hold a special place in the hearts of the Villanova crew. We all have so many memories. I can still see her making homemade gnocci in the basement kitchen (and teaching us how to help using the special thumb technique). During the 70's the North Haledon house was like a second home to us, primarily because of the warmth and charm she displayed as soon as we all arrived. Hugs and food were always plentiful. She was so proud of her children (with good reason) and that warmth and charm that I remember so well still lives in them, certainly her greatest legacy. Godspeed, Mrs. Galante.
