It's been a week since you left us and it feels like a blurred vision of a bad dream. There were times I could hardly breathe looking at you, knowing that you would not wake up and make us all laugh. I will never forget you, Uncle Lou and how you were ALWAYS there for all of us, especially me. I'll never forget how you and Aunt Jean stepped in to clean that Richmond Ave. house. Or how you came to our rescue after the "Paterson Flood". You never met a stranger. Your selflessness, generosity and kind loving ways will be forever in our hearts. When I stayed with you and Aunt Jean when my Dad died and I was very upset; it meant so much to be with my Godparents, the very same people who were like parents to me all through my life made me feel safe and loved. I love you Uncle Lou. I am blessed to call you Uncle and I have faith you are with our loved ones who were waiting for you. Our lives will never be the same because we've been touched by an Angel with beautiful blue eyes.

Dearest Dad, The only way we can go on without you is to think of your joyful, kindhearted, loving spirit and try to be like you. We will all miss you so much but we will know you are with us in spirit. You were a tireless help to your family. You have done so much for all of us and I am so grateful. To have had you as a grandfather to my children and father in law.. I was one lucky person! Dad, I hope you are resting and doing the things you loved. I hope you are bowling and sitting in at a real NASCAR race and not having to fix or maintain anything!.. unless you want to. I already feel your presence watching over us. I love you so much, my other "Dad."

The BEST kind of people are the ones that come into your life, and make you see sun where you once saw clouds. The people that believe in you so much, you start to believe in you too . The people that love you, simply for being you. The once in a lifetime kind of people.
Thank you for making me part of your family and always so loving and welcoming. You will be missed.
Love, Sherry

It's hard to come up with the words to say at a time like this because it's impossible to sum up the impact of our beloved Uncle Lou. It goes without saying that he was, and will always be, an unforgettable man. I consider myself to be so very lucky to have had the chance to see all the different parts of him, like the father, the grandfather, the uncle, the lover of TV talent competitions (I've never seen two people so into the outcome of Dancing With The Stars), and, of course, the professional Wii bowler. I'm sorry that we never gave him more competition when it came to Wii Sports--our characters were always too busy throwing the ball behind them, which never failed to get a hearty laugh from him. I will spend an eternity missing that laugh, his love of cars, how he ALWAYS took his teeth out when we asked, and the wave we got from him and Aunt Jean on our drive back down South. Give Ramon and the rest of our angels all our love -- I will love you forever, as it is!

Knowing he is flying up there with all of our angels doesn't make this any easier. He was truly a special person. He could light up a room with his humor and laugh. I will miss him everyday. I know he is in a better place and now he can watch over all of us but it still doesn't make your heart hurt any less. Aunt Jean, you and Uncle Lou have shown us what true love really is and I hope to have what you had someday. I love you so much! All my love to the whole family and I am sorry I can't be up there with you these next few days.
