Obituary of Harvey A. Birch

Harvey A. Birch, age 75, of Wayne died Tuesday, April 14, 2015 surrounded by his loving family at The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, NJ. Harvey was born May 10, 1939 in Paterson, NJ. He is the son of the late Harvey C. and the late Lena (Nardella) Birch. He lived n North Haledon, NJ before moving to Wayne in 1986. He worked at Lucent Technologies in Fairfield, NJ as an Installer for 45 years and retired in 2004. He most recently worked at AAA North Jersey in Wayne. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Valley R.C. Church in Wayne. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council No. 7028 at St. Gerard and Knights of Columbus Council No. 6354 at Our Lady of the Valley. He also was a member of C.W.A. Local No. 1090. He is survived by his wife: Sally (Balistrieri) Birch and his daughter: Kristen Birch of Wayne, NJ. He is also survived by his mother-in-law and father-in-law; Tommasina and Gaetano Balistrieri, his brother-in-law; Joseph Balistrieri and his wife Sandra and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:00 am on Monday, April 20 at St. Gerard's R.C. Church, West Broadway and Chamberlain Avenue, Paterson, NJ with Msgr. Mark Giordani officiating. Entombment, Calvary Cemetery, Paterson, NJ. Visiting hours will be Sunday, April 19 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
