Obituary of Marie Moyer

Marie Moyer, age 91, of Wayne died Saturday, January 30, 2016 at Oakland Care Center in Oakland, NJ. Marie was born February 1, 1924 in Passaic, NJ. She is the daughter of the late Anthony and the late Catherine (LoPresti) Grido. She was a seamstress and was employed at Jo-El Sportswear, Paterson, NJ for 15 years and retired in 1972. She was a former parishioner of St. Paul's R.C. Church in Prospect Park, NJ. She was a member of the St. Paul's Seniors where she was their former treasurer, Passaic Valley Elks Lodge No. 2111 Ladies Auxiliary and VFW Post No. 9782 where she was the former treasurer. She is survived by her daughter: Marie Bellofatto of Wayne, NJ and her son: John Anthony Moyer of Paterson, NJ. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Rosemarie Chirico and her husband Rich, Marie Johannessen and her husband Steve, James Bellofatto, Crissy Cummis and her husband Rob and Jennifer Moyer. She is also survived by her great grandsons: Justin, Brandon, Cameron and Ryan Johannessen and Tyler Chirico and many nieces and nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews and great grand nieces and great grand nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Steven Moyer, her sisters, Anna Grido LiPari, Sophie Grido Gallinson, Rose Shortino and Grace Lozito and her brother, Thomas Grido. The Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, February 5. 2016 at St. Paul's R.C. Church, 286 Haledon Avenue, Prospect Park, NJ at 10 AM. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Paterson. Visiting hours will be on Thursday, February 4, 2016 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Memorial Gifts to the Deborah Hospital Foundation, 212 Trenton Road, Browns Mill, NJ 08015 would be appreciated. . .
