Obituary of Margaret Sinnott

Margaret Sinnott, age 89, of Haledon died Sunday, March 12, 2017 at The Atrium At Wayne in Wayne, NJ. Margaret was born September 6, 1927 in Paterson, NJ. She is the daughter of the late Herbert T. and the late Margaret (Clary) Sandford. She lived in Totowa, NJ and moved to Haledon in 1955. She was the owner along with her husband of Pete's Service Station in Haledon. She also worked as a receptionist at Prospect Park Savings and Loan in Haledon and was a office clerk at O'Brien's Nissan in Hawthorne. She was a member of Haledon Fire Department Company No. 2 Ladies Auxiliary. She is survived by three daughters: Marie Strydio-DelVecchio of Wayne, NJ, Judy McNamara of York, PA and Tammy Feldhann of Haledon, NJ. She is also survived by her Herberta King of Wyckoff, NJ and her brothers: Herbert Sandford of Paterson, NJ and James Sandford of Toms River, NJ, her grandchildren: Michelle McNamara, John McNamara, Amy McNamara and Nicole Feldhann Hernandez and her great grandchildren: Madison Warren, Gavin McNamara; and Ashlyn McNamara. She was predeceased by her husband, Russell "Pete" Sinnott. The funeral will be held 10:00 am on Saturday, March 18 at DeLuccia - Lozito Funeral Home, 265 Belmont Avenue, Haledon, NJ. Burial will be in Laurel Grove Cemetery, Totowa, NJ. Visiting hours will be Friday, March 17 from 4-8 PM at DeLuccia - Lozito Funeral Home, 265 Belmont Avenue, Haledon, NJ.
