Julio Cesar Reyes, 75, of Paterson NJ, passed away on April 3, 2017 in Wayne NJ. Visitation will be April 8, 2017 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at DeLuccia-Lozito Funeral home, 265 Belmont Ave, Heledon, New Jersey Julio Cesar Reyes was born in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic to Confesor Reyes and Modesta Mercedes Reyes on January 11, 1942. He went to school in Santo Domingo, DR. He came to the United State with his young bride Maria Reyes in 1969, to pursue the American Dream. Julio was a hard working family man, he worked in the service industry as a chef for over 30 years. Julio instilled his strong work ethics and the importance of education into his children. He was extremely proud of each of his children and grandchildren, and took every opportunity to brag about them. Julio loved baseball, and was a big fan of the New York Yankees. Whether watching on TV, listening on the radio, or the special treat of taking in the action at Yankee Stadium, he rarely missed a game. Julio also had a passion for gardening, he was definitely born with a green thumb; from vegetables to flowers there was nothing he couldn't grow. Despite all the concrete of the city, Julio still found soil to grow his gardens. He was a talented "do-it-yourselfer", from fixing automobiles to home remodeling, he could do it all. His unbroken spirit, humility, and kindness will live on in all those whose life he touched. He is greatly loved, and missed! Julio is preceded in death by his parents, a brother, and a sister. He is survived by his children: Cesar and Sandra Reyes; Amarilis Reyes and Bobby Box; Benny and Liliana Reyes, and Jose Luis Reyes. Brother: Luis Reyes. Sisters: Esperanza Ramirez; Ana Reyes; and Aleida Reyes. Grandchildren: Britney Wright; Samantha Reyes; Daniel Reyes; Andrew Reyes; Savanna Box; Isabella Reyes; Annelise Box; and Gabriela Reyes. Former spouse: Maria Reyes; Sister-in-law: Antonia Rodriguez; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family of Julio wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Wanaque Nursing Home.
