Obituary of Richard Casler

Richard Casler, age 87, of Haledon died Friday, May 17, 2013 at St. Joseph's Wayne Hospital in Wayne, NJ. Richard was born January 8, 1926 in Marcellus, NY. He is the son of the late Bernard and the late Arletta (Pelchy) Casler. He has lived in Haledon since 1949. He was a Corporal in the Air Force and also served in the Army during World War II. He was employed as a pressman for Berles Carton Company of Paterson, NJ for 41 years and retired in 1982. He was a former member of St. Mary's Memorial Episcopal Church in Haledon. He is survived by his wife: Cornelia (Ripmeester) Casler, his two sons: Richard Bernard Casler of Little Falls, NJ and Paul Kevin Casler of Vernon, NJ; his sister: Alice Smith of Marcellus, NY and his brother: James Casler of Ringwood, NJ. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Jennifer , Jessica and Justin Casler and his great grandchildren; Benjamin and Ella. He was predeceased by his brother, Edward Casler and his sister, Rose Green. The funeral will be held 8:30 pm on Tuesday, May 21 at DeLuccia - Lozito Funeral Home, 265 Belmont Avenue, Haledon, NJ. Cremation will be private. Visiting hours will be Tuesday, May 21 from 7-8:30 PM.
