I was saddened to read of Geoff's passing in the paper this morning. He was my "first kiss" in the 7th grade, but I really got to know him much better as an adult. About once a year he would call me and we would have long phone conversations. I found him fascinating. We had several mutual friends and would reminisce about our fun and not so fun times. His family's roots in Maywood was once a topic which I recall whenever I drive past his grandparent's home. I will miss our occasional phone conversations. I know he is at peace now.
