Obituary of Hooshang Kipiani

Dr. Hooshang Kipiani, age 82, of Franklin Lakes died Monday, October 29, 2012 at University Hospital in Newark, NJ. Dr. Kipiani was born September 28, 1930 in Tehran, Iran. He had a private practice in General Surgery and Medicine in Wayne, NJ for 35 years. He was an attending physician at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical center in Paterson, Fair Lawn Memorial Hospital and Wayne General. He was Chief of the Surgery Department and President of the medical staff at Wayne General. He was a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He was a member of the Passaic County, New Jersey and American Medical Association's. He was a member of the New Jersey Chapter American College of Surgeons. Currently he was the Medical Director at Andover Subacute and Rehab Center Services, Inc One and Two. He is survived by his wife: Carla (Turco) Kipiani , his sons Victor and Paul Kipiani. He is also survived by his children Christopher and Kristine Kipiani and his grandson Frankie Bubbico. The visitation will be on Thursday from 4 - 9 PM at Most Blessed Sacrament R.C. Church, 787 Franklin Lake Road, Franklin Lakes, NJ. The Funeral Liturgy will be on Friday at 10 AM at Most Blessed Sacrament R.C. Church. Please meet at the church. Entombment will be in Gate Of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, NJ. In lieu of flowers, we are accepting gifts which will be used to provide personal items for needy nursing home residents.
