Obituary of Mildred Bombelyn

Mildred (Matilde) Bombelyn (nee Dittamo), age 97, of Jefferson, NJ died Saturday, July 4, 2009.Mrs. Bombelyn was born November 5, 1911 in Paterson, NJ the daughter of the late Vincent and the late Josephine (Giuri) Dittamo. She lived in Prospect Park, NJ for 73 years before moving to Jefferson. She was employed by Telephone Exchange, Paterson, NJ as a Telephone Operator. She also was a quality control inspector for Quackenbush Department Store in Paterson. She was a parishioner of St. Paul's R.C. Church, Prospect Park. She loved to crochet and many people have items that she crocheted for them over the years.She was predeceased by her husband William Bombelyn. She was also predeceased by her brothers: Fred, Charles, Gaetano, Vincent and Henny Dittamo and her sisters Martha Tanis and Agnes. She is survived by her brothers; Alfred Dittamo of Waldwick, NJ and Edward Dittamo of Mount Arlington, NJ, many nieces and nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews and great grand nieces and great grand nephews. Visiting hours will be Tuesday from 10 am - 12 noon at DeLuccia - Lozito Funeral Home, 265 Belmont Avenue, Haledon, NJ. The funeral will be Tuesday at 12 noon at the funeral home.Burial will be in Laurel Grove Cemetery, Totowa, NJ.
