Obituary of Frank Robina, Jr.

Frank Robina, Jr., age 87, of Toms River, NJ died Sunday, December 20, 2009 at Sunrise Assisted Living, Wayne, NJ. Mr. Robina, Jr. was born January 24, 1922 in Newark, NJ the son of the late Frank and the late Marie (Simmons) Robina. He was employed by NJ Transit as a bus operator for 35 years before his retirement. He was an avid bowler and a member of many leagues during his lifetime and bowled into his early 80's. He was also a long time member of the Toms River Elks. He also served in the United States Coast Guard. He was predeceased by his wife Clara Robina (nee Tomka) and a sister Elynor Murphy Lasarow. He is survived by his daughter: Gwen Doherty of Freehold, NJ and his son: Frank Robina, III and his wife Rose of Pompton Lakes, NJ, his companion, Catherine Lattimore, his grandchildren: Wendy Wallin and her husband Wes, Victor Jay Doherty and his wife Sharon, Frank Robina, IV and his wife Jessica and Rachel Robina and his great granddaughters, Nicole and Kelly Wallin. Visiting hours will be Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at DeLuccia - Lozito Funeral Home, 265 Belmont Avenue, Haledon, NJ. The funeral will be Wednesday at 9:30am at the funeral home. Burial will be in Cresthaven Cemetery, Clifton, NJ.
