Obituary of Raymond J. Kutcher

Raymond James Kutcher, Sr. of Wayne, NJ passed into eternal life on Sunday, February 14, 2010 at 79 years of age after a courageous battle with lung cancer. He lived in Clifton, NJ before settling in Wayne 44 years ago. He leaves behind his devoted wife Barbara of 56 years of marriage, his beloved children, Karen Schembre of Upper Montclair and Raymond Kutcher, Jr. of Wayne, his pride and joys grandchildren, Stephanie and Matthew Schembre and Raymond Kutcher, 3rd, twelve very dear nieces and nephews and many grand nieces and grand nephews and his loyal boyhood friend Gene Dvorak and his wife Loretta of Florida. He was predeceased by his brothers, John, Robert and James. Ray was the founder of K&K Automotive of Passaic and the owner of State Auto Parts in Lyndhurst. He chose not to retire and he continued to work for his son at Valley Brook Auto Brokers until December of 2009. He served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict earning him the sergeant stripes. He was a member of the Matamores Gun Club, the NRA, VFW, 4 Rays and a Joe and the "Saturday Nite Friends." He and his wife Barbara enjoyed entertaining family and friends at their shore home in Brigantine, Atlantic City casino visits and traveling with family and friends finishing up their 25th cruise on the Queen Mary. He was a longtime parishioner of Our Lady of The Valley R.C. Church in Wayne. He will be remembered for his wit, loyalty, deep religious beliefs, honesty, generosity and fairness. He was always ready to lend a helping hand putting others before himself. He will be dearly missed by his grandchildren. His children are grateful for the steady and guiding presence of their father and the example he set for them in his loyalty to his family and his friends, the strength of his conviction and individuality and his humanity. For his wife , the life they built and shared together will be her strength in coping with the absence of a true and loving husband. With deepest gratitude the family wishes to thank our very dear friend, Dr. Joseph Lozito for his compassionate care, golden heart and caring hands. They would also like to thank, Michael Minton. George Pisanello and the entire staff of Hospice of New Jersey for their comforting guidance and support. Interment, St. Mary's Cemetery, Saddle Brook, NJ. Visiting on Wednesday, 2-4 & 7-9 pm.
