Obituary of Victoria M. Damiano

Victoria M. Damiano (Bruno) of Wayne passed away peacefully on March 10, 2010. Born in North Bergen to the late Carmella and Pasquale Bruno, she lived her formative years in Lodi before moving to Wayne 53 years ago. She worked for Allied Bendix Aerospace, Teterboro for over 30 years before retiring in 1988. She was predeceased by her husband Vito Damiano in 1976. Devoted mother of Angela Maio and her husband Ted and Karen Shackil and husband Joseph, all of Wayne. Proud and cherished grandmother of Joseph and Michelle Maio, Stacey & Tito DiVirgilio, Alyssa Shackil & Justin Shackil. Great-grandmother to Alexa and Nicolas DiVirgilio and Joelle and Gianna Maio. Dear sister of Edith Del Sardo of Jackson, Lena Backhaus of Bricktown and Annette Calatozzo of Paramus. She was predeceased by brothers Nicholas Bruno, Joseph Bruno, Rocco Bruno and sisters Angelina Natoli, Rose Bruno and Emily Giacchi. Family and friends will be recieved at DeLuccia - Lozito Funeral Home, 265 Belmont Avenue, Haledon on Sunday, March 14 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A funeral mass is planned for Monday, March 15, 2010 at 10 AM in Our Lady of the Valley R.C. Church, 630 Valley Road, Wayne, NJ. Entombment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Paterson, NJ.
