Obituary of Mlidred D. Dowd

Midred D. Dowd, age 88, of Haledon died Saturday, May 15, 2010 at St. Joseph's Wayne Hospital of Wayne, NJ. Midred was born June 17, 1921 in Paterson, NJ. She is the daughter of the late John and the late Pauline (Barbieri) Gatty. She was a Homemaker. Midred Dowd was a member of St. Mary's Memorial Episcopal Church in Haledon and a member of it's Martha's Guild. She also was a member of the Haledon Seniors. She is survived by two sons: John Dowd of Raleigh, NC and George Dowd, Jr. of Waldwick, NJ; her grandchildren; Meredith Stancil, Meghan Britt, Lisa Maggi and Danielle Oliver, her great grandchildren;, Caroline Stancil, John Stancil and Jamielynn Oliver. Calling hours will be Wednesday, May 19 from 2-4 & 6-8PM at DeLuccia - Lozito Funeral Home, 265 Belmont Avenue, Haledon, NJ. The service will be on Wednesday evening at 8 pm. Cremation is private. .
