Obituary of Lidia Gerasimenko

Lidia Gerasimenko, age 88, of Haledon, NJ died Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at St. Joseph's Hospital And Medical Center of Paterson, NJ. Lidia was born June 10, 1922 in Lugansk, Ukraine. She is the daughter of the late Maxim and the late Matrena Kovalenko. She came to the United States in 1956 and settled in Paterson before moving to Haledon in 1985. She was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Michael's R.O. Cathedral, Paterson, NJ. She is survived by her husband: Leonid Gerasimenko , three daughters: Luda Gerasimenko of Haledon, NJ, Olga Gerasimenko of Haledon, NJ, Tania Taylor and her husband Art of Murietta, CA and one son: George Gerasimenko and his wife Judy of Wayne, NJ. She also has six grandchildren; Christine, Lauren, Michael, Sean, Christopher and Alana and two great grandchildren; Brendan and Paige. She was predeceased by her son Anatole Gerasimenko. The funeral will be held on Saturday, October 2, 2010 at St. Michael's R.O. Cathedral, 52 Sherman Avenue, Paterson, NJ at 9 am. A Panachida will be held 5:00 pm on Friday, October 1, 2010 at St. Michael's R.O. Cathedral. Burial will be in Fair Lawn Memorial Cemetery, Fair Lawn, NJ.
