Obituary of Ted Buczek

Ted Buczek, age 84, of North Haledon, NJ died Saturday, December 11, 2010 at home in North Haledon. Ted was born August 8, 1926 in Passaic, NJ. He is the son of the late George and the late Mary (Grabiec) Buczek.
He served in the Navy during World War II. He was an accountant and worked at Photographic House, Dover, NJ for 7 years before retiring in 1992. Prior to that he worked at Swan Manufacturing in Rockaway, NJ for 30 years. H ewas a member of The New York Shields, The New York Honor Legion, The Pulaski Association NYPD, The New Jersey Honor Legion, National Police Defense Foundation, The Rockland County Shields and The Police Officer Michael John Buczek Foundation.
He is survived by his daughter: Mary Jo Buczek of North Haledon, NJ, his son: Walter Buczek and his wife Janet of Wyckoff, NJ, his two sisters: Phyllis Rzepecki of Passaic, NJ and Lucy McAlevey of Garfield, NJ and his three grandchildren; Samantha, Abigail and Michael Buczek.
He was predeceased by his wife; Josephine Buczek (nee Marro) a son, Michael Buczek (NYPD) and his brothers; Walter and Stanley Buczek.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held 11:00 am on Friday, December 17 at St. Elizabeth's R.C. Church, 268 Wadsworth Avenue, New York, NY. Burial will be in Christ The King Cemetery, Franklin Lakes, NJ.
Visiting hours will be Wednesday, December 15 from 7-9 PM and Thursday, December 16 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
