Obituary of Rosa Gurrieri

Rosa Gurrieri, age 84, of North Haledon died Friday, January 7, 2011 at Hospice Of New Jersey of Wayne, NJ. Rosa was born April 6, 1926 in Vittoria, Sicily, Italy. She is the daughter of the late Giovanni and the late Francesca (Palacino) Alfieri. She came to the United States in 1967 and settled in New Paltz, NY and lived in Passaic, NJ and Paterson, NJ before moving to North Haledon in 1996. She was a seamstress. She is survived by her husband: Rosario Gurrieri , a daughter: Rosa Targia and her husband Jerry of North Haledon, NJ and a son: Gianbattista Gurrieri and his wife Paola of Haskell, NJ; her two sisters in Italy: Melina Incardona and Giovana Sortino. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Rosalba Gencarelli, Roy Gurrieri and his wife Kim, John Gurrieri and his wife Joy, Dominick Targia and his wife Tina, Roy Targia and his wife Rosangela and Jerry Targia and ten great grandchildren. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:30 am on Monday, January 10 at St. Gerard's R.C. Church, Paterson, NJ. Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa, NJ. Visiting hours will be Sunday, January 9 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
