Obituary of Paul Sowpel

Paul Sowpel, age 77, of Leonia died Monday, January 17, 2011 at home in Leonia. Paul was born May 29, 1933 in Wheeling, WV. He is the son of the late Fyodor and the late Daria (Tuchik) Sowpel. He served in the Air Force. He was employed by Loral Electronics, Yonkers, NY for 35 years as an Electronics Engineer and Systems Designer and retired in 1995. He was a member of Autobahn Society and the National Geographic Society. He is survived by his wife: Irene (Bogaska) Sowpel , a cousin ; Boris Alexis and three nieces; Irene Maltzan, Tatiana Alexis and Lillian Miller. The funeral service will be held 10:00 am on Thursday, January 20 at St. Michael's R.O. Cathedral, 52 Sherman Avenue, Paterson, NJ. Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery, Englewood, NJ.
