Obituary of Mercedes Ramos

Mercedes Ramos, age 88, of Paterson, NJ died Sunday, January 30, 2011 at St. Joseph's Hospital And Medical Center in Paterson, NJ. Mercedes was born November 22, 1922 in Maricao, Puerto Rico and came to the United States in 1959 and settled in Paterson. She was employed as a boot maker at Kayson Manufacturing in Paterson, NJ for twenty five years and retired in 1985 . She was a parishioner of St. Agnes R.C. Church, Paterson, NJ and a member of Crusillo. She is survived by her husband: Secundino Ramos , five daughters: Adelaide Rosa, Clarabel Vega, Silvia Orozco, Romanita Gonzales and Miriam Estrada and two sons: Ramon Ramos and Ivan Ramos. She is also survived by eighteen grandchildren and twenty two great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son Nemensio Ramos. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 9:30 am on Friday, February 4 at St. Agnes R.C. Church, Paterson, NJ. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Paterson. Visiting hours will be Thursday, February 3 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at DeLuccia - Lozito Funeral Home, 265 Belmont Avenue, Haledon, NJ. .
