I know the Sciancalepore family for over 40 years as their son Joe is my best friend.
Mr. Sciancalepore had occasion to meet my Mother years after my Father died while she was working in the bank in Paterson and he was always very kind to her. She always commented on how much of a gentleman he was and how he always went out of his way to stop by and see how she was doing. As they both emigrated to this country, he understood how tough it was on her after her husband and bread winner for the family passed and she was left raising 6 of us.
Everytime I would see him he would make sure to ask about her and tell her he said hello. His kindness to her meant so much to me and spoke volumes about the kind of man he was.
Although he will be terribly missed by his wife and family left behind, his legacy of raising a great family and being a role model for them along with his wife Rose will live on forever in them.
"Riposare in pace" Mr. Sciancalepore.........until we meet again.
