Obituary of Gerald Berry

Gerald "Jerry" Berry, age 81, of North Haledon, NJ died Monday, April 11, 2011 at home. Gerald was born April 8, 1930 in Paterson, NJ. He is the son of the late Peter and the late Agnes (Van Ostenbridge) Berry.
He served in the Army during the the Korean war in the 82nd Airborne Division. He was employed by the I.B.E.W. Local No. 102, Paterson, NJ as an Electrician for 23 years and retired in 1992.
He was a member of the Veteran's Club, Haledon, NJ and an Exempt Member of the North Haledon Volunteer Fire Department, Co. No. 1.
He is survived by his wife: June (Vanderbush) Berry , two daughters: Janice DeYoung and her husband Albert of Oakland, NJ and Jane D'Amico of Wyckoff, NJ, two sons: James Berry and his wife Joanne of North Haledon, NJ and John Berry and his wife Dorothy of Franklin Lakes, NJ. He also is survived by nine grandchildren; Clayton Berry, Craig Berry, Glenn Berry, Ashley DeYoung, Jillian Berry, Jenifer Berry, James D'Amico, Chris D'Amico and Daniel D'Amico and a great grandson, Aaron Berry.
He was predeceased by his brother, Charles Berry.
The funeral will be held 10:30 am on Thursday, April 14 at DeLuccia - Lozito Funeral Home, Inc., 265 Belmont Avenue, Haledon, NJ with the Reverend Joe Setzer officiating. Burial will be in Laurel Grove Cemetery, Totowa, NJ.
Visiting hours will be Wednesday, April 13 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
