Obituary of Violet E. Schopperth

Violet E. Schopperth, age 93, of Haledon died Thursday, April 21, 2011 at Hospice Of New Jersey, Wayne, NJ. Violet was born June 22, 1917 in Fair Lawn, NJ. She is the daughter of the late Cornelius and the late Katherine (McKenchey) Nuy. She was a Homemaker. She is survived by two sons: Geroge J. Schopperth of Haledon, NJ and Larry Schopperth of Kinnelon, NJ. She is also survived by her seven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and one great great grandson. She was predeceased by her husband, George Schopperth, her daughter, Mary Ann Gibilisco, and her sisters, Joyce Schlichting and Cornelia Stewart. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:30 am on Tuesday, April 26 at Our Lady Of Magnificat R.C. Church, 2 Miller Road, Kinnelon, NJ with Monsignor Jack Carroll officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Paterson, NJ. Visiting hours will be Monday, April 25 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at DeLuccia - Lozito Funeral Home, 265 Belmont Avenue, Haledon, NJ.
