Obituary of Rose Nativo

Rose Nativo, age 88, of Haledon died Monday, May 2, 2011 at home. Rose was born January 1, 1923 in Paterson, NJ. She is the daughter of the late Joseph and the late Cecilia (DiLorenzo) Silvestri. She was employed by Curtiss -Wright Aeronautical as a riveter and also worked at Spam Products as a toy maker. She spent most of her life as a homemaker. She was a parishioner of St. Paul's R.C. Church, Prospect Park, NJ, a member of Passaic Valley Elks Lodge no. 2111 Ladies Auxiliary and a member of Deborah Hospital Foundation, Totowa-Wayne Chapter. She is survived by two daughters: Cecilia Bersano and Roseanne Annillo, two sisters: Victoria Corallo and Elvira Mariano and two brothers: Pat Silvestri and Joseph Silvestri, Jr. She also is survived by five grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph Nativo. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 9:30 am on Thursday, May 5 at St. Paul's R.C. Church, 286 Haledon Avenue, Prospect Park, NJ.Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa, NJ. Visiting hours will be Wednesday, May 4 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 370 Center Pointe Circle, 1154, Altamonte Springs, FL 32701 0r the Kidney Foundation, New York, NY would be appreciated.
