Obituary of John A. Shabrack

John A. Shabrack, age 90, of Haledon, NJ on died Friday, May 6, 2011 at St. Clare's Hospital in Sussex, NJ. John was born July 1, 1920 in Paterson, NJ. He is the son of the late Karem and the late Jameela (Lazzia) Shabrack. He lived in Paterson, NJ for 53 years before moving to Haledon, NJ for 21 years and retired to Vernon, NJ. He was a self employed Barber in Haledon, NJ. John Shabrack was a member and secretary of the Barbers Union and Volunteer at the Haledon P.A.L.. He is survived by seven children, eleven grandchildren six grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Vera Shabrack (nee Thatcher) and a sister, Sadie Balady. The Funeral service will be held 10:30 am on Wednesday, May 11 at St. Ann Melkite Catholic Church, Woodland Park, NJ. Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa, NJ. Visiting hours will be Tuesday evening, May 10 from 7-9 PM.
