Obituary of Rosario Gurrieri

Rosario Gurrieri, age 90, of North Haledon died Sunday, June 5, 2011 at Hospice Of New Jersey in Wayne, NJ. Rosario was born November 16, 1920 in Vittoria, Sicily, Italy . He is the son of the late Gianbattista and the late Rosa (Alfieri) Gurrieri. He came to the United States in 1967 and setteled in New Paltz, NY and lived in Passaic, NJ and Paterson, NJ before moving to North Haledon in 1996. He was employed as a presser. He is survived by one daughter: Rosa Targia of North Haledon, NJ and one son: Gianbattista Gurrieri of Haskell, NJ; his six grandchildren; Rosalba Gencarelli, Roy Gurrieri, John Gurrieri, Dominick Targia, Roy Targia and Jerry Targia. He is also survived by ten great grandchildren. He was predceased by his wife Rosa Gurrieri A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:30 am on Wednesday, June 8 at St. Gerard's R.C. Church, Paterson, NJ. Entombment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Visting hours will be Tuesday, June 7 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. .
