Obituary of Cosmo Colucci

Cosmo Colucci, 89, of North Haledon died Monday, July 18, 2011. Cosmo was born September 1, 1921 in Bari, Italy. He is the son of the late Giuseppe and the late Anna (Angiulli) Colucci. He came to the United States in 1959 and settled in Paterson NJ. He lived in Paterson before moving to Toms River NJ, where he lived for 23 years before moving to North Haledon 4 years ago. He was the owner and chef at San Remo Restaurant in Bloomingdale NJ until his retirement in 1983. Prior to that he worked as a chef at Casa Rosa Restaurant and while living in Italy he was a carpenter. He is survived by his wife: Immacolata (Bognoulo) Colucci ,his two daughters: Nina Bello and her late husband Peter of Haledon, NJ, Marie Epifano and her husband Gary of North Haledon, NJ, his two sons: Joseph Colucci and his wife Anna of North Haledon, NJ and Louis Colucci and his wife Sally Ann of West Milford. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 9:30 am on Thursday at St. Paul's R.C. Church, Prospect Park, NJ. Entombment will be in Laurel Grove Cemetery, Totowa, NJ. Visiting hours will be Wednesday from 4-8 PM.
