Obituary of Lena Madonna

Lena Madonna of Hawthorne, NJ died Saturday, July 30, 2011. Lena was born September 26, 1913 in Rumford, ME. She is the daughter of the late Felipe and the late Marietta (Carfello) Feola. She was born in Rumford, ME and lived in Paterson, NJ and Garfield, NJ before moving to Hawthorne, NJ 18 years ago.
Before her retirement she was a seamstress.
She was a member of International Ladies Garment Workers Union, Hawthorne Seniors, Saddle Brook Seniors and a former parishioner of Blessed Sacrament R.C. Church in Paterson and St. Anthony's R.C. Church in Hawthorne.
Devoted mother of Joseph Vitale and his wife Elinore of Wayne and Rosemarie Greco and her husband Frank of Wayne. Loving grandmother of Frank Greco Jr., Dana Hampson and her husband Bill, , Melissa Greco and her partner Lisa Rapone, David Greco and his wife Lisa , Stephen Vitale and his wife Lily and Thomas Vitale and his wife Florence . Dearest sister of Michelina "Midge" Traina and the late Eleanor Tedeschi, Teresa Daunno and Tom, Sal, William and Sandy Feola. Cherished sister-in-law of Teresa Feola. Beloved great grandmother of Stephanie Greco, Elizabeth, Alexandra, Danielle, and Jacquelyn Hampson and Gianna, Samantha, & Adelina Vitale.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held 9:30 am on Saturday, August 6 at Annunciation Of The Blessed Virgin Mary. Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa, NJ.
Visiting hours will be Friday, August 5 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Passaic County Senior Center, Wayne NJ .
