Obituary of Lawrence Martin DeLorenzo

Lawrence Martin DeLorenzo, age 96, of Paterson died Saturday, August 13, 2011 at St. Joseph's Wayne Hospital in Wayne, NJ. Lawrence was born November 1, 1914 in Paterson, NJ. He is the son of the late Martin and the late Florence (DeLuccia) DeLorenzo. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He was the owner, along with his father and his brother, of Martin DeLorenzo & Sons Italian Meats, Paterson, NJ and worked there for 62 years and retired in 1989. He is survived by one daughter: Cheryl Cerna and her husband Jaime of Cedar Grove, NJ, his grandchildren; Renee Florio and Jay Abderrahim, his great grandson; Sebastian Florio and his nieces and nephews; Florence Call, Ralph DeLorenzo and Lori Weisbach. He was predeceased by his wife Maryanne DeLorenzo (nee Cunha) , his brother; Ralph DeLorenzo and his nephew; Martin DeLorenzo. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 9:30 am on Wednesday, August 17 at St. Gerard's R.C. Church, , Paterson, NJ. Burial will be in Laurel Grove Cemetery, Totowa on Wednesday, August 17 at . Visiting hours will be Tuesday, August 16 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Memorial gifts to St. Michael's R.C. Church, 70 Cianci Street, Paterson, NJ would be appreciated.
