Obituary of Mary Matuszewski

Mary Matuszewski, age 84, of Haledon died Friday, December 23, 2011 at Wayne View Care Center of Wayne, NJ. Mary was born July 24, 1927 in Jersey City, NJ. She is the daughter of the late Amerson and the late Mary C. (O'Brien) Bigelow. She lived in Jersey City most of her life before moving to Haledon 6 years ago. She was a Medical Transcriptionist for Dr. Mark Phillipone and retired in 2000. She was a former parishioner of St. Paul's R.C. Church, Jersey City, NJ. She is survived by two sons: David A. Matuszewski of Haledon, NJ and Barry Matuszewski and his wife June of Vauxhall, NJ and her granddaughter; Emily Christine Savage. She was predeceased by her husband; Edward Matuszewski, her daughter, Patricia Savage and her brothers; Michael Robert Bigelow and Amerson Richard Bigelow. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10 am on Wednesday, December 28 at St. Paul's R.C. Church, 286 Haledon Avenue, Prospect Park, NJ. Visiting hours will be Tuesday, December 27 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at DeLuccia - Lozito Funeral Home, 265 Belmont Avenue, Haledon, NJ. Cremation will be private.
