Charles Mekbel, age 90, of Haledon died Saturday, May 26, 2012 at St. Joseph's Hospital And Medical Center of Paterson, NJ. Charles was born July 12, 1921 in San Jose, Costa Rica.
He lived in Haledon since 2004. Prior to that he lived in Prospect Park, NJ and Fair Lawn, NJ.
He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II He was a maintenance man at Interstate Foam, Passaic, NJ and retired in 1999.
He was a member of V.F.W. Post 281 in Fair Lawn.
He is survived by his niece, Deborah Rowan of West Brookville, NY.
All services were private.
