Obituary of Victor Kornacki

Victor Kornacki, age 87, of Haledon died Thursday June 28, 2012 at The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, NJ. Victor was born July 18, 1924 in Paterson, NJ. He is the son of the late Ignatius and the late Anna Kornacki. He served in the Army during World War II. He was worked at Foodtown in Haledon and later worked at William Paterson University, Wayne, NJ as a maintenance worker before his retirement . He was a parishioner of St. Paul's R.C. Church, a member of the Haledon Seniors, AARP Haledon Chapter and a member of Local 464A, Little Falls, NJ. He is survived by two daughters: Mary DeChristofano and her husband Joseph of Pequannock, NJ, Kathleen Gonzales and her late husband Arthur of Haledon, NJ.He is also survived by two grandson; Michael Gonzales and Orion DeChristofano. He was predeceased by his wife, Mary Kornacki and his sister, Bertha Winefski. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 9:30 am on Monday, July 2 at St. Paul's R.C. Church, 286 Haledon Avenue, Prospect Park, NJ.Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Visiting hours will be Sunday, July 1 from 4 - 8 PM.
