Obituary of Evelyn R. Worflar

Evelyn R. Worflar, age 92, of Haledon died Saturday, July 28, 2012 at Hospice Of New Jersey in Wayne, NJ. Evelyn was born June 1, 1920 in Paterson, NJ. She is the daughter of the late Charles and the late Lillian Mae (Brioski) Gillette. She has been a resident of Haledon since 1933. She was a member of Cedar Cliff United Methodist Church in Haledon and past president of the John C. Wardlow V.F.W. Post Ladies Auxiliary. She was employed by the Borough of Haledon as a Crossing Gurad. She is survived by her daughter: Margaret Coral of Haledon, NJ and her son: Dennis Worflar of Highland, IL; her sister: Eleanor Valkenberg of Whiting, NJ, her grandchildren; William J. Coral, Amy Coral Mele, Julie Monroe, Susan Moss, Faith Tkach, Barry A. Worflar, Jason Worflar, Jamie Rogers and Tricha Veling. She is also survived by eighteen great - grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Theodore Worflar, her son, Barry Worflar, her grandson, Robert "Sam" Coral, her brothers, Gilbert Gillette, Charles S. Gillette, Russell Gillette and Walter Gillette and her sister, Dorothy Duccesshi. The funeral will be held 11:00 am on Wednesday, August 1 at DeLuccia - Lozito Funeral Home, 265 Belmont Avenue, Haledon, NJ. Burial will be in Laurel Grove Cemetery, Totowa, NJ. Visiting hours will be Wednesday, August 1 prior to the service from 9 - 11 AM. Memorial gifts to Cedar Cliff United Methodist Church, 18 Zabriskie Street, Haledon, NJ 07508 would be appreciated.
