Obituary of Matilde Castillo

Matilde Castillo, age 84, of Paterson died Friday, December 27, 2013 at St. Joseph's Hospital And Medical Center in Paterson, NJ. Matilde was born July 5, 1929 in Isabella, Puerto Rico. She is the daughter of the late Ramon Ramos and the late Juana Ramos (Valle) Estremera. She settled in New York, NY in 1950 and moved to Hoboken, NJ in 1962 before moving to Paterson in 1969. She was a homemaker. She is survived by her five daughters: Iris Osario of Waterbury, CT, Migdalia Reyes of Wayne, NJ, Matilde Roman of Paterson, NJ, Rosalinda Velasquez of Paterson, NJ, Mozelle Santiago of Paterson, NJ and her two sons: Rene Castillo of Paterson, NJ and Radames Castillo of Clifton, NJ. She is also survived by her two sisters: Eloina and Vina, her twenty six grandchildren, her fifty six; great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She was predeceased by her husband Gilbert Castillo Rivera and her daughter, Adelaida Castillo. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:00 am on Tuesday, December 31 at St. Agnes R.C. Church,681 Main Street, Paterson, NJ. Visiting hours will be Monday, December 30 from 4-8pm.
