George Volkow, age 91, of Garfield died Monday, May 27, 2013 at St. Joseph's Hospital And Medical Center in Paterson, NJ. George was born May 5, 1922 in Kurrsk, Russia. He is the son of the late Nicolai and the late Felka (Kaklushina) Volkow.
He was employed by Star Glo Industries, Rutherford, NJ as a Machine Operator.
He was a member of St. Michael's R.O. Cathedral in Paterson, NJ.
He is survived by his daughter: Larissa Alschen of Rutherford, NJ and his son: Serge Volkow of Clifton, NJ. He is survived by his grandchildren; Sergei Alshen, Gabrielle Volkow and Jeanette Volkow.
The funeral will be held 9:00 am on Thursday, May 30 at St. Michael's R.O. Cathedral, 52 Sherman Avenue , Paterson, NJ. A prayer service (Panichida) will be held 6:00 pm on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at St. Michael's R.O. Cathedral. Burial will be in Novo DiVeevo Cemetery, Spring Valley, NY.
